Description
The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the University of Hong Kong organized an international conference "Nonlinear Time Series: Threshold Modelling and Beyond" in honour of Professor Howell Tong for his pioneering and foundational work in non-linear time series on 17-19 December 2009.
There were about 30 overseas speakers, including many top-ranking researchers in time series, for the conference. Among them would be a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, two Fellows of the Royal Society, three Academicians of the Academia Sinica, two Fellows of the British Academy, a Fellow of the Australian Academy, two members of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (one being the President-elect) and numerous other luminaries.
